Review Policy
1 ABOUT THIS POLICYThis policy sets out Southside Waterjet’s approach to the prevention and removal of banned reviews and activity (such as fake reviews, concealed incentivised reviews and misleading use of customer review information).
Southside Waterjet will always aim to ensure that reviews on our website at www.southsidewateret.com are genuine and not false or misleading in line with guidance from the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act in the UK (the DMCCA) which requires consumer-facing businesses to take active steps to tackle fake or misleading online reviews.
We also understand how important reviews can be in making decisions about whether to buy our products.
We continue to assess the risk of fake and concealed incentivised reviews appearing on our website and are committed to taking the necessary steps to address issues as they are identified. We also set out below the steps we have taken to ensure customer review information is not published in a misleading way.
2 PROVIDING A REVIEWThe following guidelines apply to reviews.
Your review must:
be based on your genuine experience;
avoid mentioning any personal data (such as names and addresses);
not contain information that is, or may reasonably be considered to be, defamatory, libellous, hateful, racially or religiously biased or offensive, unlawfully threatening or unlawfully harassing to any individual or business.
not be repeatedly submitted and/or vexatious (i.e. spam)
contain any computer viruses, worms or other potentially damaging computer programs or files
infringe the intellectual property rights of a third party
3 HOW WE MANAGE REVIEWSWe reserve the right to remove or not publish any reviews which we consider are fake or which conceal an incentive received by the reviewer or where they do not meet our review requirements at section 2 above.
In serious cases, we may also consider blocking the reviewer from being able to provide further reviews.

4 HOW WE USE CUSTOMER REVIEW INFORMATIONAll reviews are listed chronologically by default, and with consistent formatting. There is no prominence awarded to favourable reviews.
Whilst negative reviews may be disappointing, we will still include these on our website and not only show positive reviews.
We will not make an offer of dispute resolution contingent on a customer not leaving a negative review.
We will regularly conduct a manual check of a sample of reviews, to look for any potentially banned content.
We will monitor the review submission history of customers, or relating to particular products, to spot patterns of behaviour giving rise to banned content.
